I’m an anxious parent who has raised anxious kids.

I get how hard it is.

I’ve walked your path. I’ve been at my wits end. I’ve struggled.

So when I tell you that I will teach you how to find peace as a parent to your anxious, sensitive, and highly intelligent child, I mean it.

Are you ready for specific tips and strategies?

Good, because I’m going to give them to you. ⁣

As a sensitive person with a lot of emotions, depression and anxiety experience and a mom of 3 girls that fit the category as well, I’ve got a lot of specific experiences and information to share. ⁣I coach anyone and any topic, but my market/niche is moms with anxious, emotional kids/teens. ⁣

I help moms manage their own mental health so they can help their children manage theirs. When a mom can confidently handle her own emotions, she is able to find more joy and help her kids with their emotional needs. This also creates a deeper bond and an open, safe relationship. I also coach teens to help them learn the same skills.

Ready to improve your relationship with your child/teen?

I get it. I’ve got you. ⁣

Does your child or teen seem anxious, out of control? intense? stressed? overwhelmed? highly sensitive? worried?⁣

I get it. I’ve got you. ⁣

My mindful approach to life coaching applies to anyone experiencing these emotions or situations. It applies ⁣to anyone who wants to feel better, who wants to stop suffering. ⁣

Is that you? ⁣

Where I Come From

I’m a life coach certified with The Life Coach School. I’m also a piano and flute teacher and have a degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University.

I instinctively became a life coach to my piano students, teaching performance anxiety skills and how to manage their mind around actually getting to the piano to practice and then how to practice effectively.

Instead of teaching full time in schools, I’m teaching mental health skills so kids & teens can better handle school & life itself and parents can create a safe place for the family to process their emotions.

I’m passionate about helping families communicate about mental health. Learning these tools saved my mental health, my marriage, my anxious and depressed teen and my relationship with her and our entire family.

How I Help

You will learn tools that will help you right in the middle of your anxiety, stress or strong emotions. You’ll know how to support your anxious child. Your teen will finally have the tools to apply instead of feeling hopeless, stuck and out of control. You’ll feel more connected to your child, with a stronger relationship. Are you ready?

My focus on mindfulness

14 years ago my mental and physical health was falling apart. When the doctors and hospitals had no answers, I went all in on mindfulness meditation, even taking classes and retreats from a Buddhist teacher.

When my health problems went away or dramatically reduced and I found pure joy returning in MY life and peace in relationships, I was sold and continued to practice and find ways to be mindful throughout the day.

I can teach you how to meditate or I can teach you how to add simple mindfulness moments into your day. I promise it will change you and might even save your life like it did mine.

Testimonials

Jill has brought us hope and energy to tackle what seemed like an insurmountable, heavy burden.  Now we have tools, strategies, words to describe, clarity, and someone to turn to when we are at a loss of what to do. It’s still a process, but I don’t feel hopeless and weighed down anymore. I now feel more empowered with tools and knowledge, knowing that there is a path to healing. Coaching is like having another person on your parenting team, but one with a special skill set. I am amazed at how much that new knowledge has changed how I feel about and react to my children’s challenges. I am even more amazed as I see my kids use the tools they have learned to bravely face and regain control of high-anxiety scenarios.

“I have really loved working with Jill Freestone, she has helped me set goals and gave me the skills to reach them. Before I started life coaching, I felt like there was nothing I could do about my anxiety, but after working with Jill, I have learned certain coping mechanisms and that a positive way of thinking is really important for me to move forward in getting mentally stable. I love our conversations, I feel at ease and like I’m talking to a friend. I always end our sessions feeling like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I have new goals and a feeling of hope.

–Ashlynn – teen client

Jill has been a tremendous help. She gave me tools to use that helped in all areas of my life. To any and all who need help in any way, I would just say give it a try. Don’t give up, and use the tools she gives you.”

–Ben – teen client

The skills you learn from Jill’s life coaching sessions are invaluable.  They help you put life in perspective.  They can help in any situation.

I wanted my teen to find positive ways to cope when feeling sad or down or discouraged. We are both on a more positive plane. When hard situations or emotions come we have strategies to fall back on. We allow ourselves more time to cope and more empathy!

If you’re unsure, TRY IT!!! The biggest inhibitor is yourself and what you let your mind dwell on. Jill is so patient and willing to listen. She is very skilled at helping you figure out answers for yourself.

–E.H. Parent of teen client

My daughter is very private and has always been uncomfortable discussing her thoughts and feelings with people.  After her 12 sessions, my daughter left for college MUCH more confident that she has ever been in her life. She left, armed with tools like understanding better her circle of control; being less afraid to feel emotions;  how to healthily process emotions and notice her buffers; how to let go of “should” manuals and people pleasing behaviors that left her feeling judged or judgmental; how to do thought downloads and run models; and most of all to know that she is worthy, valuable, and loved. Jill did all of these while respecting my daughter’s confidentiality – only sharing with me the things she was teaching, and never what my daughter’s comments were or her models.  I would highly recommend Jill for any teenager who is willing to start to look introspectively so they can start creating a healthy path for their life.”

“Jill is such a delight to work with! She truly cares about me and gives me the tools I need so I can practice changing my thinking in different areas of my life. She’s not a miracle worker (I still have to do the work) but she does a great job pointing out what is going on and helping me develop a plan for change.”

–Robyn M.

“I think speaking with someone about your anxieties, aspirations, challenges, and ideas about creating your best life is important. That someone needs to be relatable, understanding, non-judgmental, and a positive thinker. Jill holds all of the above characteristics. ”

–Alex M.

“My perception changed after going through the sessions because Jill was helpful in teaching me that feelings are just feelings, to move toward them and experience them. Vulnerability is just a feeling and nothing to be afraid of. Jill was always great at moving with my random thoughts, which went from place to place. Which usually helped get to the root of the feelings I was having. ”

–Abbie A.

“Jill made me feel so comfortable and our sessions would always naturally turn into exactly what I needed to talk about. Jill helped me think about things in new ways and helped teach me tools that I started implementing into my daily life. It was amazing the changes I was seeing with the things that I wanted to change with the personal help from Jill.”

–Alexa W.

“I highly recommend Jill Freestone coaching. I was struggling with negative thoughts “spinning in my head.” I also felt stuck in several areas of my life. Jill helped me feel better right away. I achieved greater peace of mind which felt so good after suffering with the same issues for so long. I learned how to generate positive emotion and take action by changing my thinking. It was so helpful. I feel more in control of myself now. Thank you Jill. Glad your my life coach.”
