These are examples you’ve given me of what feelings feel like in your body. Name a feeling you felt today and find it in your body. Describe it and just notice what it does.
Anxious (cold in the lungs, super tight in the pit in my stomach, shaky)
frustration (tight chest, a red/orange flash)
betrayed (in the heart area, a force pressing in and down and could hurt me, dark gray)
joy (yellow, open, light and airy in my chest)
fear (heaviness, tightness in my gut)
critical (tight upper body, heart heavy, clenched, uptight)
dread (pit in my stomach, heavy)
peace (open, upward light, warm colors)
peace – (loose and light, ball of light in chest shining)
disappointed (stomach tingling, unsettled, gray, foggy)
excited ( yellow, opening, moving upward, pulsing in my heart)
When you describe what is happening in your body you become a watcher of your emotions, watching them rise and fall. You get out of your head and into your body. You’re actually feeling your emotions instead of thinking about them.
Feel your Feels
What color is it?
What shape? size? texture?
How would you rate its intensity on a scale of 1-10?
Is this feeling hard or soft? Light or heavy?
Is this feeling fast or slow?
